Silica sand mining is most commonly completed using the techniques of dredging beneath the surface of water or open-pit mining. Silica sand is mined from pits or dredged up before being processed using silica sand processing plant. In deposits, the top surface of sand is removed for use in the production of foundry sand and amber glass, while deeper deposits are mined for use as colorless glass. Sand and gravel are sorted for size using machines such as vibrating screens, and attritioning cells are used to remove surface coatings from the silica sand grains.
Silic sand must be sorted by size. This generally begins when it arrives for processing. Bars are placed over a receiving hopper to catch large pieces. Screens are then used to separate larger and smaller pieces as the materials are transported by belts or conveyors. The gravel is washed and either further processed or stored.
Gyratory crushers, jaw crushers, roll crushers, and impact mills are used for primary and secondary crushing. After crushing, the size of the silica material is further reduced to 50 mm or smaller by grinding, using ball mills, autogenous mills, hammer mills, or ultrafine mills. The ground material then is classified by wet screening, dry screening, or air classification.
We developed complete series of grinding machine for silica processing, such as Raymond mill, ball mill, high pressure mill, trapezium mill, vertical mill, roller mill, ultrafine mill etc. Each of the different types of grinding mills are available in a variety of sizes and specificiation. We also do ore experiment and customize cost-effective grinding solution according to your requirements.
